How can we help?
Maintaining a strong brand and ensuring a trustworthy reputation can't wait.
Issue management
Even the best reputation can be destroyed in minutes if hot-button issues are not managed well. We use risk and science communication principles to deploy effective messaging and tactics that address topics such as pesticide use, biotechnology, food additives, animal welfare, sustainability, and more.
Crisis communication
Find your voice when you need it most! An unaddressed issue can evolve into a crisis, and unexpected issues can pop up at any time to present an acute crisis. We specialize in helping food and agriculture companies prepare for, respond to, and recover from a crisis in order to protect their reputation and brand integrity. Our in-depth knowledge of the food supply chain and regulatory communication requirements means we are well-positioned to assist with your crisis communication needs.
Message & media training
Whether you need to prepare for an industry presentation or your designated spokesperson needs to be interview-ready, we can help. We have experience training company representatives to deliver approved messages during high-stakes public appearances and when talking to stakeholders.
Association management
With more than a decade of experience managing food and agriculture trade organizations, we can help with your association management needs. We act as your executive director, communication and marketing staff, or staff support when you need extra resources.
When it comes to crises, luck favors the prepared.
Prepare
When a client asks us to help them get crisis ready, we begin by interviewing key staff and evaluating written plans and past training. This gives us a good idea of the client's current preparedness level. From there, we develop a gap analysis that identifies strengths and weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. We can help ensure the written plans meet regulatory requirements and reflect the client's unique role in the food supply chain. Based on this assessment, we recommend training options and next steps.

Respond
Find your voice when you need it most! A crisis can happen at any time, and the first 12 hours are critical to determining how a company or organization will fare in the court of public opinion. If you suspect an issue may become a crisis or you are dealing with an acute crisis, call us sooner rather than later.
As soon as we get up to speed on the situation, we will work with you and your legal team to draft, approve, disseminate, and evaluate all stakeholder communications.

Reflect & Recover
A crisis won't end at the same time for everyone on your team. Some will return to their daily jobs within weeks; for others, it may be months or years before they can officially close the crisis chapter. So when and how does recovery start? We start as soon as the company is out of the spotlight and resources can be spared. We begin by reflecting on what happened and how to prevent it from happening again. We assess the reputational damage among stakeholders and work with our clients to develop a strategic recovery plan.
